Task Manager — Privacy Policy
Please read this first. Task Manager is a small, independently built application that is still in development and has not been released yet. This page is a plain-language, good-faith description of what the app does with data, written from the app's own design and source code rather than adapted from a template. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and it is not a substitute for formal legal advice. It will be reviewed and revised before the app is made available to the public.
Who runs this app
Task Manager is built and operated by primelogiclab.io, an independent developer project. There is no company, no advertising business, and no data broker behind it. Its data is stored on a server rented from DigitalOcean, in its Toronto, Canada data centre.

What the app collects
Account information
You sign in with your primelogiclab.io account, the same one used by the primelogiclab.io website and its other apps. It is run by primelogiclab.io's own sign-in service (Keycloak, on the same server), which sends you to Auth0, a third-party identity provider, to sign in with Google or an email address and password. Task Manager never sees or stores your password. How the account itself works is described in the primelogiclab.io privacy policy. Task Manager stores:
- A permanent account identifier for you, and which sign-in service issued it
- Your email address
- Your display name
If you used Task Manager before 25 October 2026, when sign-in moved from Auth0 alone to the primelogiclab.io account, your existing data is linked to your new account identifier the first time you sign in, using the Auth0 identifier the sign-in service passes on.
Your tasks and related content
This is the core of what the app is for. Everything you enter is stored on the server so it is saved and available on your devices:
- Your tasks
- Task details — point-form notes on a task
- Comments — the threaded discussion on a task
- Ticket references attached to tasks
- Your custom statuses and task types
Please keep in mind that the app stores whatever you type into these fields, so avoid entering anything you would not want held on a server.
Data stored on your own device
The app keeps a local copy of your data on your device, in an on-device SQLite database, and syncs it with the server. Uninstalling the app removes that local copy from your device; it does not remove data already saved on the server.
To keep you signed in, the app also stores its sign-in tokens on your device, in Android's encrypted secure storage. They let the app reach your data for up to 30 days without you using it. Logging out of the app deletes them and ends the app's session at the sign-in service. It doesn't sign you out of Auth0 in your phone's web browser, so the next sign-in may not ask for your password again while that browser session lasts.
What the app does not collect
These are worth stating plainly, because many apps do collect them and this one does not:
- No advertising. There are no ads.
- No analytics or tracking.
- No crash reporting.
- No location data.
- No camera access.
- No biometric data. The app never collects, stores or transmits your fingerprint or any other biometric information.
- No sale of data. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for advertising or marketing purposes.
Android permissions
The app requests two Android permissions, each for one narrow purpose:
- INTERNET — needed to sync with the server and to sign in.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — lets the app check whether your device currently has a network connection, so it knows whether it can sync or should work from its local copy. It only reads whether you are connected; it does not collect any personal data and does not reveal your location or identity.
Why the app collects what it collects
- Account information — so you can log in and the app knows which tasks are yours.
- Tasks, details, comments, ticket references, statuses and types — this is the content you are using the app to keep.
- The on-device copy — so the app works from local data and syncs with the server.
Who your data is shared with
The app uses one third-party service, plus its hosting provider. It does not share your data with anyone else.
- Auth0 (Okta, Inc.) — handles sign-in for primelogiclab.io accounts. Auth0 holds your login credentials and email address, and tells primelogiclab.io's sign-in service who you are. Okta privacy policy
- DigitalOcean — provides the server the app, its database and the sign-in service run on.
Data may also be disclosed if required by law.
Task Manager is a single-user app. There is no sharing or social feature, so your tasks and comments are not visible to other users of the app.
How long data is kept
Your account and everything attached to it is kept for as long as your account exists. There is no formal retention schedule beyond that yet; a defined one is intended before general release.
Deleting your data
To have your account and all data associated with it deleted, email info@primelogiclab.io from the address on your account. Deletion is completed within 30 days, and you'll be emailed once it's done.
See Delete Your Account and Data for the full details of what a deletion request removes.
A deletion request removes Task Manager's own copy of your data. Your primelogiclab.io account and your Auth0 login are shared with primelogiclab.io's website and other apps; say in your email if you want those removed too, which also ends your access to the other apps.
Changes to this policy
The app is under development, and this page will be updated as it changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
