Delete Your Account and Data

Golf App · published by primelogiclab.io · last updated 3 August 2026

This page explains how to have your Golf App account and the data associated with it permanently deleted. You do not need to be logged in to read this page or to make a request.

To request deletion, email:

Please send it from the email address on your Golf App account, so the request can be matched to the right account, and put "Account deletion" in the subject line. Nothing else is needed — you don't have to give a reason.

If you can't send from that address any more, email anyway and say so; you'll be asked a couple of questions to confirm the account is yours before anything is deleted.

You'll get a reply confirming the request, and the deletion will be completed within 30 days. In practice it's usually much sooner. You'll be emailed again once it's done.

There is no in-app delete button yet — deletion is handled manually by email for now. A self-service option in the app is planned. This is a small, independently built app still in active development, and this page will be updated when that changes.

What gets deleted

A deletion request removes your account and everything stored about you:

Uninstalling the app also clears the copy of your current round that the app keeps on your own device for offline scoring. Uninstalling by itself does not delete anything from the server — you need to send the request above for that.

What may remain, and why

Two things are worth being straightforward about.

Rounds you played with other people. A round of golf is shared between everyone who played it, and a bet is shared between everyone in it. Those records are part of the other players' own history as much as yours. Your name and personal details are removed from them, but the round itself may remain in your playing partners' history, showing the scores that were recorded on the day. The same applies to a league you belonged to: the league and its results continue to exist for its other members.

Server logs. The web server keeps standard technical access logs — IP address, timestamp, and which address was requested — used for diagnosing errors and abuse. These are not organised by user account and are not searched or used to identify anyone. They are not currently on a fixed rotation schedule, so they persist until the server's logs are next cycled. Setting a defined log retention window is on the list of things to tighten up.

What you can delete yourself, right now

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific things. Inside the app you can already delete:

You can also edit or clear your profile fields — phone number, handicap and gender marker are all optional and can be left blank.
